Folks all over the world have gathered each year on the Summer Solstice to watch the sunrise and feel the power of its magnificence.
Join Priscilla from Cilly Wellness and Carrie from Carrie Schmitt Design for a celebration that honors the light and joy within us and around us on this auspicious day!
Activities:
- Celebrate the sunrise with beautiful community.
- Participate in a sacred ritual that awakens and nurtures your inner joyful spirit longing to be expressed.
- Enjoy a song circle to greet the new day around you and within you.
- Plunge in the sacred Salish Sea and experience the benefits of cold water exposure.
- Delicious Healthy Breakfast and Painting Session at House of Miracles, within walking distance from beach.
What to Expect:
- We meet just before sunrise at Sunnyside Beach in Steilacoom, WA for a candlelight reflection and meditation. We will float our candles that hold our wishes out into the sea.
- We will greet the sunrise with ritual, song, and movement. Enjoy and participate in a song circle led by Priscilla. Option to bring any instruments you have, such as rattles or drums.
- We will do some gentle stretching and move our bodies in ways that promote joy and energy led by Carrie.
- After we greet the sunrise with ritual, song and movement, we will wade into the enchanting Salish sea together to enjoy the benefits of cold water exposure, which can include reduced stress and anxiety, increase in blood flow circulation, reduced inflammation, reduced pain and swelling, enhanced mood, improved energy, better sleep, and more!
- Then we will come back to Carrie's home and art sanctuary about 30 seconds from the beach to warm up with tea, coffee, and enjoy a delicious breakfast together. We will share any thoughts or reflections from the morning.
- Optional: Stay and enjoy a sunflower painting lesson from Carrie in her art studio. All materials and supplies provided.
