This one began as a field of sunflowers and sat unfinished in my studio for about a year. One day, I noticed women's faces in the flower shapes and suddenly saw what the painting truly wanted to be—a temple of refuge for women, a gathering of sisters interconnected and merging into one another with the awareness that we are all One. 

The painting was just waiting for me to catch up to it and be able to see what was there all along. The truth of who we are.
